The City of Mangum Fire Department is accepting applications for a full-time firefighter.

Now Hiring: Firefighter — City of Mangum, Oklahoma

The City of Mangum is seeking a dedicated, dependable, and community-minded individual to join our Fire Department as a Firefighter. This is an exciting opportunity to serve our residents, protect lives and property, and make a meaningful difference every day.

Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Mangum, OK

Key Responsibilities

Respond to fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls

Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles safely

Perform fire suppression, ventilation, and salvage operations

Assist with emergency medical care as trained and authorized

Participate in training drills, safety programs, and community outreach

Maintain fire station, vehicles, and equipment

Follow department policies, procedures, and safety standards

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license 

Ability to pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening

Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions

Requirements

Firefighter I & II certifications (must obtain within 1 year)

Previous firefighting or emergency services experience (preferred)
