Notice of Sealed Bids

The City of Mangum is currently accepting sealed bids to purchase the property commonly known as “the Welcome Center” located at 119 E. Jefferson Street, Mangum, OK, and legally described as follows:

Lots A and 1 in Block 18 of the Original Addition to the City of Mangum, Greer County, Oklahoma

The property appraised for $6,000.00. The City of Mangum may reject any bid not reasonable in relation to the appraised value or that otherwise lacks adequate consideration.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “SEALED BID—WELCOME CENTER PROPERTY” and delivered to the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 130 N. Oklahoma Avenue, Mangum, OK 73554. Bids will be accepted until 4:00 pm on October 6, 2026. Any bid received after that time will not be considered.

Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud publicly at City Hall, 130 N. Oklahoma Avenue, at 6:00 pm on October 6, 2026, and will be considered by the Board of Commissioners.

Subject to approval of the Board of Commissioners, the property will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder whose bid meets or exceeds the requirements of state law. The City of Mangum may reject any and all bids.

The Property is being offered “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Title will be conveyed by such deed as the City is authorized to give, subject to all easements, restrictions, and encumbrances of record. The successful bidder is responsible for all closing costs. Closing shall occur within thirty (30) days after the Board of Commissioners’ acceptance of the bid. The sale is contingent on approval by the Board of Commissioners.
